Gluten-free mishaps :)

what is that?!




Ok..so, these are supposed to be cranberry/raisin oatmeal cookies.  As you can see, that is not what they turned out to be.  This was my first attempt to bake gluten-free last year.  I was completely unaware of xanthum gum at that time.  The cookies did not stay together.  They just became this big gooey mess, so we just scraped the whole lot into a casserole dish.  They tasted good, but looked slightly frightening.  I also made a batch of regular flour cookies, so let me now show you what they are supposed to look like.

These are the regular flour cookies.  Also very tasty and they have an actual cookie shape.  I have not tried to make these gluten free again.  I will have to try and let you know how it goes.  If they are successful, I will post the recipe.  :)
