Isa's Chicken Teriyaki
I was craving the chicken teriyaki from one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Ohio, so I decided to try to make my own.  I remembered watching my mom make it growing up, so I experimented with the sauce and this was the outcome.  It's incredibly easy to make with just a few ingredients and everyone always gobbles it up when I make it.

5-6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp mirin
1 tsp sugar
sunflower oil

1. In a wok, heat a small amount of sunflower oil on high

2. While the oil is heating, add soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to a small dish and mix until the sugar is dissolved

3. Turn the stove down to med. high and add chicken

4. Stir fry until the chicken is almost cooked through

5. Turn stove to med. and add sauce and continue cooking until the chicken is cooked through.  Place chicken with sauce in a dish and serve

Serve with Japanese white rice and a side of vegetables.
